Christmastime is here!

I love Christmastime! I am especially looking forward to a snowy Christmas... But no sign of snow yet! It's barely 50 degrees. Oh well. Meanwhile, here are some picture of our Christmas decorated house!
(We apologize in advance... we are a little obsessed with our kitten!)

Brent and Jordan tied down "Beefy" the tree (named after Brent)

Falling into Winter

We got a new camera so we were able to take some pictures. Sorry, these are long over do. Here are some pictures from our first fall in Virginia! Enjoy :)

Our little guy hiding on a high shelf in our closet!
We received a large box that was full of packing peanuts... Oliver loved to play in them!

It's November!

We can hardly believe that we have lived in Virginia for over two months already! Time really flies on the east coast which is great because that means moving back to California will come sooner :) The beautiful Fall leaves are already falling and the temperature is dropping to 32 degrees... not what us Californians are use to! I am having difficulty finding appropriate attire that is both fitting for the weather as well as for the office. I will get the hang of it eventually. It is actually suppose to snow sometime in the next few weeks! I can't wait!

While Jordan is working 10 hour shifts at Elevation Burger, I have been working at EB's corporate office, Elevation Franchise Ventures, every weekday for 4 hours. I was hired to answer phones when Dee (the CEO, Hans' mother) was doing errands or on another line. But what I spend most of my time doing is being my co-workers personal assistant! Everyone hands me jobs that are tedious or that they don't have time to do. I don't mind at all and everyone in the office is very friendly. I feel special saying that I work in the office of the CEO of Elevation Burger and EnviroCab (a hybrid taxi company in Arlington). When I am not working or with Oliver being a good housewife, I babysit the Hans and his wife April (CFO of the company) two kids, Hans (3) and Ellie (4). They are a handful but they are so adorable! I love Hans' dimples and how he calls his Elmo doll 'Melomo' and how Ellie talks in a perfect British accent when we play pretend. But I still miss my kids (Cassie, Veronica, Noah and Lance) very badly!!!

Overall, we are enjoying this new adventure. Yesterday we went on our first WONDERFUL WASHINGTON WEDNESDAY outing, where we walked to the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial (pictures to come). Next we are hoping to go to the Museum of Natural History. But soon Wonderful Washington Wednesdays will be put to an end, because Jordan is moving positions! Instead of being an assistant manager to the Elevation Burger store in Potomac (Maryland), he will be teaming up with Jason (a guy who I do a lot of work for in the office) and being a trainer! This is very exciting for us because Jordan really wanted the trainer position. But this also means longer workdays and no Wednesdays and/or Sundays off :( We will adjust though!

I'll end with a story my sister, Stacey thought I should put on our blog because she found it amusing:

Last month, I got home from work (about 2:15pm)  and decided to clean the house before Jordan got home (being the good wife that I am). I began by taking out the trash. After walking outside, I realized that I locked myself out. Not a big deal, right? I have neighbors who live above us and Jordan would be home... eventually. WRONG! I was literally locked outside for 3.5 hours! I didn't have my phone or keys to the car (to go anywhere), there wasn't a single window unlocked and I tried breaking into the upstairs portion of the house, but no luck. So for the long, FREEZING (it was about 50 degrees and I was wearing leggings, a thin sweater and sandals) 3.5 hours, I laid in a ball on the top of our Jetta and attempted to fall asleep until Jordan got home. I kept myself occupied by watching squirrels. When he finally did get home, we realized he doesn't have a key to the house either! So he had to call Jarred and Emily (the couple who lives above us) and they told him where their hidden key was and we finally got in. Literally five minutes later, Emily came home. While everyone else thought it was hilarious, it was not a good day for me. THE END :)
